It was my pleasure to shoot the October 2007 Shakori Hills Grassroots Music Festival.
Oh... Another music festival....Hardly!
At any one time during the four days, one can choose between three music stages, artists' workshops, childrens' activities, a Healing Center, Game tents, Ethnic food, and exibits on the environment, Dance events energy and art. There is even a giant Puppet Parade. The ambience is to be relished.
It is hard to try to pick favorites, as the musicians are VERY talented and come from all over the nation, and the world.
The spirit is one of acceptance, tolerance, community, and appreciation.
Over 10 hours of source footage was captured, and the task is now to edit it down to a digestible rough cut.
In the weeks to come, we will be posting Quick Time movies as they are completed so visit often.
